XPPen has launched its new Artist 12 3rd drawing display, packed with modern features that make digital art faster and more enjoyable. The company says this new model brings one of the biggest updates yet in their drawing display range, focusing on smooth control, comfort, and portability.

The Artist 12 3rd features the new X-Dial shortcut keys and the latest X4 smart chip stylus, offering an improved drawing experience with high accuracy and speed. Amy Yuan, Brand Director at XPPen, shared that the team has worked to make this device more user-friendly and powerful, especially for artists who prefer a compact and professional setup.
The new X-Dial enables users to easily control zoom, brush size, and layers without needing on-screen menus. With a simple turn of the thumb, creators can stay focused while working. It features two dial wheels and eight shortcut buttons that can be customised for various tools, enabling users to work more efficiently.
Li Jiang, Senior Industrial Designer at XPPen, explained that the design focuses on comfort and long use. The dial even gives light feedback and a soft sound when turned, making the experience more natural and satisfying.
The included X4 smart chip stylus takes drawing to the next level. It features 16,384 pressure levels for more detailed strokes and a response time of just 30 ms, allowing every movement to be captured smoothly. It also supports tilt recognition, giving a real pen-like feeling, whether you draw with your left or right hand.
A magnetic attachment system keeps the stylus safely connected to the tablet, making it easy to carry and store. The pen’s new design also feels more comfortable to hold for long sessions.
Despite being compact, the Artist 12 3rd delivers bright and sharp visuals on its 11.9-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). It covers 99% sRGB, 97% Adobe RGB, and 97% Display P3, ensuring rich and true colours. The screen is coated with AG nano-etched glass and AF coating, which reduces glare and fingerprints while giving a paper-like texture for natural drawing.
For extra comfort, DC dimming adjusts brightness based on room lighting, helping protect your eyes during long hours of work. It also comes with a foldable stand and a single USB-C cable that keeps your desk neat and simple.
