Mortal Kombat 11 Version of Shang Tsung Character to Join Mortal Kombat Mobile This Week
The Lasso of Truth compels us to share with you that Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios today introduced the new Golden Armor Wonder Woman character – inspired by the highly anticipated DC and Warner Bros. Pictures film, “Wonder Woman 1984” – available now for the popular fighting game, Injustice 2 Mobile.
“Wonder Woman 1984” is released in cinemas in the UK & Ireland on 16th December.
Additionally, coming later this week – Mortal Kombat 11 Shang Tsung will make his debut in Mortal Kombat Mobile, alongside all-new Brutalities and a limited-time Kold War Tower challenge. The soul-stealing sorcerer features the likeness of actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the popular character in the classic 1995 “Mortal Kombat” film.
INJUSTICE 2 MOBILE
Available now, players can rock the ‘80s with Golden Armor Wonder Woman, the newest Legendary Hero inspired by the DC and Warner Bros. Pictures upcoming film, “Wonder Woman 1984.” Her Divine Protection skill increases Damage over Time resistance, while her Offensive Guard boosts her entire team’s Combo Meter. This demi-goddess can also take down her most wounded opponents with Whip Lash by lassoing them back into combat and striking with a devastating blow. Finally, her Amazon Arsenal Supermove can smite opponents with powerful bracers and sword attacks that also increase Damage by 35 percent for the duration of the battle.

- NEW – Wonder Woman’s Divine Holiday Calendar (15th Dec)
Starting 15th December, Wonder Woman will bring 15 days of holiday celebrations featuring an assortment of free festive surprises including Power Gems, Sim Chips, Account Energy and Credits. New holiday store items will be released as well, and players can check back daily for new deals.
- NEW – Rise of Krypton: Solo Raid Event (18th Dec)
Beginning 18th Dec, players at level 20+ can enter this limited-time event to vanquish Boss Collector of Worlds Superman with all-new powerful Artifacts that contain his greatest weakness, Kryptonite. Defeating bosses will reward Artifact Prize Chests, new Rise of Krypton Profile Portraits, full Hero unlocks and more. Beating the event will reward the Kryptonite Spear. New to this Solo Raid Event, Artifacts bonuses will now be applied to all members of a team, not just the Hero who has it equipped.
- NEW – Reforge Tokens (Coming Soon)
Coming soon, the new Epic Artifact Reforge will grant a higher chance of rolling Epic Chance Effects, while the new Rare Gear Reforge will grant a higher chance of Rare Chance Effects.
MORTAL KOMBAT MOBILE
Diamond MK11 Shang Tsung, the villainous, soul-stealing sorcerer and historic host of the Mortal Kombat Tournament, will enter the world’s most visceral mobile game this week. Featuring the likeness of actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the popular character in the classic 1995 “Mortal Kombat” film, Shang Tsung morphs into his opponents on tag-in, allowing him to use their own Special Attacks and X-Ray or Fatal Blow against them. When below two Bars of Power, Shang Tsung also passively generates Power over Time.
Additional updates to Mortal Kombat Mobile will include:
- NEW – Limited-Time Kold War Tower & Equipment (This Week)
Players who fight to the top of this new limited-time, single-player Tower challenge will earn a random Diamond Kold War character card. The new Tower also introduces 10 never-before-seen, unique pieces of Kold War Tower Equipment, including the Equipment needed to activate the newest Brutalities!
- NEW – Brutalities (This Week)
All Diamond variants of Skarlet and Diamond Kold War Sonya Blade will receive new mobile Brutalities activated through specific sets of Kold War Tower Equipment. Skarlet can utilize Bloodmaster’s Bloody Finka and Bloodmaster’s Iron Curtain to end enemies and watch their blood rain down. Equip Sonya Blade with General’s Father Gun and General’s Knockout Gloves to witness her deadly fireballs.
- NEW – Retrocade Arena Battleground (This Week)
Players can fight enemies in the klassic Retrocade arena from the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Expansion, where the battleground rotates between The Living Forest from Mortal Kombat II and The Temple from Mortal Kombat 3 during matches. This arena will be available in certain Faction Wars, Event Tower and Elder Challenge matches.
- NEW – Holiday Souls Event (21st -27th Dec)
As a special holiday treat, players will also receive 50 free Souls directly in their inbox each day, for an entire week. But hurry to collect as each gift expires after 24 hours!
