You may or may not have heard of game subscription service Utomik, a company determined to set a new standard in the field with their wide and eclectic selection of titles.
A brief perusal of the games on offer backs up the claim – it’s not just big names, although there are plenty of those with a ton of Star Wars and Telltale titles ready to play. They have a focus on indie games which is something we at FULLSYNC can definitely get on board with, seeking out hidden gems to save you the bother of trawling through Steam waiting for something to catch your eye (although that is pretty much one of my favourite pastimes).
Utomik isn’t strictly a streaming service, instead downloading small parts of the game to your drives as you play, which presumably makes the experience a little less like watching a 240p YouTube video if your internet connection isn’t amazing. We’re test driving the service as you read this, so if you don’t want to take the leap just hang about until the end of the week and we’ll have our coverage up.
If you want to give it a try you can get your free two-week trial right here. You can’t really go wrong with two weeks of free games, right? If you end up loving it Utomik only costs £5.99 a month, and they offer family plans if you want to keep your spouse and children occupied while you waste all of your life savings on developing a functioning lightsaber.
