The 2024 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards took place on Sunday, October 13th, with a new category making its debut: Best Video Game. This inaugural award went to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, an asymmetrical horror game that has captivated fans since its release on August 18th, 2023. Developed by Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham, with contributions from Black Tower Studios, the game is inspired by the iconic 1974 horror film and continues to expand with new content and game modes.

The win was announced on Gun Interactive’s official Twitter account, where they expressed their gratitude: “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre wins the first-ever Chainsaw Award for Best Video Game from @FANGORIA. Since its launch, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has received regular updates, including new game modes and features. Most notably, the recent introduction of Rush Week has added a fresh dynamic to the gameplay, keeping players on their toes. The TCSM Content Pass has also been made available, offering players access to upcoming DLC, cosmetics, and more.
