Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) is still planned to release in fall 2025. The company shared this news in its latest financial report, putting an end to rumours about possible delays.
Take-Two is expecting a strong year in 2025. It will first release next gen Mafia: The Old Country in the summer, followed by GTA VI in the fall. Another big game, Borderlands 4, is also in development. Since GTA VI is one of the most awaited games ever, fans were worried about delays. However, Take-Two’s update makes it clear that the game is still on schedule.

Take-Two also shared new sales numbers for its popular games. The Grand Theft Auto series has sold over 440 million copies in total. More than 210 million of those are from GTA V, which first launched in 2013 and is still one of the best-selling games. The Red Dead Redemption series has also done well, selling over 95 million copies. Most of these sales come from Red Dead Redemption 2, which has now passed 70 million units. It is the second best-selling game in the U.S. by both copies sold and total money earned. The NBA 2K basketball series has also been a big hit, selling more than 155 million copies.

Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, also talked about supporting Nintendo’s next gaming console, often called the Switch 2. While he didn’t confirm which games Take-Two will bring to the new system, he said the company plans to work with Nintendo in the future.
