Microids has announced Syberia Remastered, a new version of the classic point-and-click adventure game created by Benoît Sokal. Developed by Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris, the remake will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC (Steam) in Q4 2025.
A classic reborn
Over 20 years after its initial release, Syberia returns with modern visuals and updated gameplay. The story follows Kate Walker, a lawyer from New York, as she travels to the French Alps to complete the sale of an automaton factory. What starts as a simple task evolves into a deeper journey across Eastern Europe, where she seeks the enigmatic inventor Hans Voralberg.
Accompanied by Oscar, a mechanical companion, Kate explores eerie locations, meets strange characters, and uncovers secrets in her search for the island of Syberia – a place said to hold the last living mammoths.
