Developer Cybernate and indie label Fellow Traveller today announced Super Mutant Alien Assault will release for Nintendo Switch on July 12 for $9.99 USD.

Taking inspiration from arcade classics and the seminal Super Crate Box by Vlambeer, Super Mutant Alien Assault is a dance with death across randomized single-screen levels. The pace is rapid and dodging is as important as shooting if you hope to survive.

Fight through twelve brutal stages across three galaxies including three bosses to beat the game but only when you have unlocked and mastered countless weapons, explosives, sidearms, abilities and moves, as well as randomized level layouts, weapon machines, objectives and enemies, can you claim true victory.

About Cybernate

Cybernate aka Chris Suffern is a solo indie game developer, based in Sydney, Australia.

Chris started out developing flash games and his first was the very successful and highly rated Mutant Alien Assault, a take on the intense combination of platforming and shooting in Vlambeer’s Super Crate Box with objective-based levels replacing the crate-based high-score-chasing goal.

After several years increasing his skills, Chris returned to the concept to create his latest title, a dramatically expanded and improved sequel for PC, consoles and now the PlayStation Vita.
