Kalypso Media and KITE Games have announced Sudden Strike 5. It’s coming to PS5, Xbox, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) in 2026. This is the next step for the long-running real-time tactics series. Bigger maps. More units. More control.
You’ll command huge WWII battles across Europe and North Africa. The campaign has 25 missions based on real history. It’s not just about firepower. Timing and strategy matter more. A single smart move can win the fight.
Sudden Strike 5 gives you full tactical freedom
You’ll have control over 300 real WWII units. That includes 190 vehicles and 110 infantry. Sherman tanks, Messerschmitt fighters, and Soviet T-34s all return. Pick your units and plan every move. Capture key points. Cut off enemy lines. Use recon, sabotage, or go all in.
Each mission gives you options. There’s no one way to win. Choose the tactics that suit you. Take your time or move fast. Stay back with artillery or charge with tanks. The map is your playground.
You can also pick a Commander. Each one has special skills. Some boost damage. Some provide cover. Others give vision or help with your supplies. Choose what works best for your style.
The camera lets you zoom in and out. Watch the battle from above or get close to the action. You see everything. You control everything.
