Storm Lancers, a new co-op side-scrolling roguelike coming to Switch fall 2025

ProbablyMonsters has just revealed Storm Lancers, a side-scrolling roguelike action game built for couch co-op mayhem. It’s set to launch on Switch later this fall.

You and a friend will crash-land on an alien planet called Cryptica. Where reality’s falling apart and magic is out of control. Two mystical creatures choose you as their last hope. You’ll fight, die, and bond with magical Stormhearts to come back stronger every run.

This is fast-paced roguelike action where every playthrough is different. Shifting biomes. Random loot. Permanent upgrades. You’ll leap, slash, and dash through each run, mastering deadly skills along the way.

It’s not a solo fight.

Storm Lancers is designed for two players sitting side-by-side. Team up to explore Cryptica, combining weapons and abilities to survive. And if your partner has to leave the game, you can switch to solo play instantly without needing to quit.

Enemies won’t go easy. From machine races that devour planets to wild alien fauna, you’ll face bosses that demand quick reflexes and smart tactics. There are two options: either you adapt or die.

Weapons? There’s plenty. Swing flaming swords, dual-wield razor-sharp katars, blast with rifles, smash with hammers, or clear out enemies with grenade launchers. Every weapon is built for pure destruction.

Storm Lancers is all about fighting together, dying together, and coming back stronger. Over and over again.
