Stellar Blade is officially getting a sequel. Shift Up confirmed in a new financial report that Stellar Blade 2 is now in active development.
The first game landed in 2024 and quickly turned heads. Its sharp combat, stylish world, and tough boss fights made it one of the most talked-about new IPs of the year. Of course, Eve, the protagonist, didn’t go unnoticed either.
A bigger Stellar Blade world with more action
Now, the team is moving forward with a sequel that promises more action, a bigger world, and refined gameplay. According to the translated report, the goal is to build Stellar Blade into a long-term franchise.
The timing makes sense. The PC release earlier this year was a huge success, selling over a million copies at record speed – 19 times faster than the PS5 launch. With that momentum, Shift Up clearly sees the series as a cornerstone.
The studio previously hinted at a 2027 release window for the sequel, so we may not have to wait too long. There’s also talk of bringing the original Stellar Blade to the upcoming Switch 2, giving more players the chance to step into Eve’s world.
