Publisher Bonus Stage Publishing and developer Rock Pocket Games have announced the release date for their upcoming side-scrolling Metroidvania game, Somber Echoes. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam on 21 January.

In Somber Echoes, players take on the role of Adrestia, a character brought back to life to stop her twin sister, Harmonia, from tearing the universe apart. Set on the abandoned space vessel Atromitos, inspired by Greco-Roman designs, players will explore distinct districts while uncovering the ship’s dark secrets.
The game offers a mix of exploration, combat, and progression. Players will master acrobatic moves and wield a spear that can unlock new areas and combat strategies. The environment evolves as you gain new powers, encouraging players to revisit areas to find hidden pathways and treasures.
