Dual Front – A new 6v6 mode

Siege X is set on the District map, Dual Front splits two teams of six into attack and defence, with objective points active in both lanes. Players must plant and defend a sabotage kit to capture enemy sectors, progressing toward the final Base objective. Attackers and defenders can now be on the same team, creating new tactical possibilities. Respawning and a neutral sector add depth, allowing flanking and strategic repositioning. Limited-time assignments also provide extra rewards.

Major core improvements

Siege X brings significant upgrades across the game:

Player protection and anti-cheat

Ubisoft continues its fight against cheating and toxicity with R6 ShieldGuard, unifying tools like Cheat Detection, Mousetrap, and Binary Hardening. Anti-cheat response time has improved by 150%, and reports have dropped 30% since last year.

Free-to-play model

Starting Season 2, Year 10, Rainbow Six Siege will be free-to-play. New players start with 10 Operators, expanding to 26 through gameplay. Modes like Unranked, Quick Play, and Dual Front are accessible, while Ranked and Siege Cup require premium access and level 50. Existing players keep all content and receive exclusive veteran rewards.

Rainbow Six Siege is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and Epic Games, and with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.
