PUBG: Blindspot is calling it quits and it barely had time to get started.
The 5v5 top-down tactical shooter launched into Early Access on February 5, promising fast-paced, strategy-driven combat with realistic gunplay. Less than two months later, developer ARC Team has confirmed the game will go offline on March 30, 2025.
Why is PUBG: Blindspot closing?
Sequoia Yang from the ARC Team broke the news in a Steam post, stating the team had explored every avenue to improve the player experience before reaching its conclusion. Ultimately, they determined they could no longer sustainably deliver what they’d originally envisioned.

The statement acknowledged the disappointment head-on, describing Blindspot as “a bold attempt to explore new possibilities within the top-down tactical shooter space.” The team expressed gratitude for player feedback and support throughout Early Access, adding that it would inform their future projects.

There’s no word yet on what the ARC Team has planned going forward. The statement simply notes that the team will take time to regroup before returning with new experiences, vague but not entirely without hope.
For a game built on the PUBG name, Blindspot’s swift exit is a stark reminder that brand recognition only goes so far. Execution and player retention matter far more.
