Wemade Max and MADNGINE have lifted the curtain on Project TAL, a story-driven single-player open-world RPG rooted in Korean mythology. Previously titled TAL: The Arcane Lands, the game is set to launch worldwide in 2027 for PC and consoles.
Wemade Max CEO Sohn Myun-seok described it as a blend of “an emotional story about healing a broken world” and the thrill of classic action RPG combat. Built as a full-scale AAA title, it’s designed to stand alongside the genre’s biggest names.
Project TAL official announcement and gameplay trailer
A world of myth and monsters
The reveal trailer highlights fast-paced battles where players can climb massive beasts, strike weak points, and unleash combo-driven attacks. The action looks fluid, cinematic, and full of tactical depth.
One of Project TAL’s standout features is its companion system. Each ally has distinct abilities, personalities, and combat roles, ranging from melee and magic to support. Companions respond dynamically in battle, protecting players with barriers or jumping in for perfect team counters.

With its mix of folklore, emotional storytelling, and intense combat, it looks ready to put Korean mythology on the global map when it launches in 2027.
