Whilst lockdown is easing up, and we’re slowly starting to see life return to a semi kind of normal, not everything is ready to comeback just yet. Some gaming events may have been announced, but sadly PLAY Expo Manchester 2021 will not be one of them. Following a release by Replay Events below, they’ve decided not to go ahead with this year’s event, meaning it will be two consecutive years without the even being held.
Replay Events announcement on PLAY Expo Manchester 2021

As per the recent announcement on the website and social media, PLAY Expo Manchester 2021 has been postponed due to continued lockdown restrictions. After careful consideration of all factors and after discussions with the venue and show contributors we made the difficult decision to postpone our Manchester event until 2022. We believe this will reduce the likelihood of further cancellations and will allow us to work towards delivering the very best expo possible without the worry of more disruptions.
We will announce the new dates for PLAY Expo Manchester 2022 once we are out of lockdown and are sure that the event is not at risk of further cancellations. Any tickets will be transferred to the new event. Existing tickets will also be transferable to any of our other future events including PLAY Expo Blackpool 2021 and PLAY Expo Glasgow 2022 once they are announced should you wish.
We are also offering full refunds to anyone who no longer wishes to attend the next PLAY Expo Manchester event. If you wish to cancel your tickets, please send us a message through the website contact form – https://www.playexpomanchester.com/contact-us. We hope that you will understand our decision to move PLAY Expo Manchester to next year and fully appreciate this will be disappointing for many of you. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Many of the people with tickets to this year’s event were those who kept hold of their tickets from last year, following the first cancellation due to COVID. Those who have a ticket this time around have the same option to keep hold of them until next year, or they can get a full refund on their PLAY Expo Manchester 2021 ticket.
