Persona 3 Reload launches on Switch 2 this October with full voice and new scenes

Persona 3 Reload is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on 23 October 2025. Preorders go live later today via the eShop.

The game originally launched in February 2024 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It became Atlus’ fastest-selling title, with over one million copies sold in its first week.

A Switch port had been rumoured for months. Developers initially ruled it out due to performance issues tied to Unreal Engine 4. However, Switch 2’s improved specs, including 4K support, faster CPU/GPU, and increased memory, now make the port possible without compromise.

Persona 3 Reload follows a high school transfer student who discovers the “Dark Hour,” a hidden time between days. During this hour, the world changes, Shadows appear, and a mysterious tower called Tartarus emerges.

The protagonist joins SEES, a group of students who summon Personas and fight to uncover the truth behind the phenomenon.

A few new things are included in the Persona 3 Reload version

Persona 3 Reload features expanded story scenes, fully voiced Social Link routes, and added party dialogue during exploration. It also includes new character interactions and cutscenes not found in the original release or previous re-releases.

With Switch 2’s upgraded hardware, the visual quality remains intact. This version brings the complete experience to a portable format for the first time.
