Version 6.0 is here……No Man’s Sky just never stops. Another free update from a game that’s nearly 10 years old. Hello Games never ceases to amaze me. Voyagers is here!
Hello Games has released (another) ground-breaking new update for their space exploration game, No Man’s Sky.
Voyagers
Voyagers, the 6.0 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: the ability for players to build and customize their own Corvette-class starships.
The centrepiece of the Voyagers update is the introduction of these large, habitable starships. Which is something I don’t think I realised I needed until I’ve seen it.
Players can now assemble their own Corvette from a wide variety of modules, including different options for the hull, wings, and engines.
The interiors of these ships are also fully customizable, with three distinct design styles to choose from: Titan, Thunderbird, and Ambassador.
These ships are designed for multiplayer, allowing multiple players to crew a single vessel. Time to travel with your friends as you leave your clan home planet to explore.

New Expedition
To celebrate the launch of the new update, a new community expedition is now available, guiding players through the process of building their first Corvette.
The update also introduces new multi-crew missions, allowing players to team up with friends and take on challenges together in their new starships.
I’m not sure about anyone else, but this is particularly interesting to me. Giving players what they’ve ultimately wanted. Proper co-operative multiplayer quests. It feels like No Man’s Sky is well past the originally intended goal set by the studio and now Voyagers is just another flex. It’s pretty sweet to see!
Improvements
In addition to the new starships, the Voyagers update brings a host of other new content and features.
Players can now engage in spacewalks, and a new player suit has been added.
The update also includes a number of quality-of-life improvements, such as the ability to rebind console controls.
On the technical side, the update brings significant graphical enhancements. No Man’s Sky now supports NVIDIA DLSS4 and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, and features improved transparency rendering.
To engage with the community, a new Twitch Drops campaign has been launched, offering in-game rewards for watching No Man’s Sky streams on the platform.
The Voyagers update is now live for all No Man’s Sky players on all platforms!
Update heaven
As of August 2025 there have (so far) been over 40 named updates, and 5 medium content patches, after the game’s initial release (as well as hundreds of patches). Just consider that for a second. Most games come with the performance fixes, tech improvements, and maybe one or two DLCs (usually paid-for).
Hello Games has now published 40 significant updates, with masses of content. Sometimes not only adding content, but significantly updating things like biomes, graphical fidelity, weather and even how water looks and moves.
There’s quality of life, sure. But then there’s quality, quality of life. All of this at no additional cost. I’m not entirely sure how this is sustainable for a small studio, but I’m really pleased it is.
No Man’s Sky is the first example of a game being able to redeem itself after a rough launch. Given time, and room to breathe, studios that love their game and have their vision, can achieve it. Not all studios are given the luxury of time or budget, true. But you can just feel the love and sincerity coming from Hello Games to make No Man’s Sky as amazing as possible.
We don’t have a lot of details on their next title “Light No Fire” but I think everyone in the world has a confidence that this will be a perfectly crafted, large and well looked-after game.
