Nioh 3 alpha feedback confirms major gameplay and visual fixes for launch

Nioh 3 is getting a big upgrade. Team NINJA and Koei Tecmo have shared their Alpha Demo Feedback Report. Almost all the feedback was on the positive side. The Nioh 3 demo ran on PS5 this past June. Now, they’re fixing gameplay, visuals, and balance before launch.

Controls and combat are getting a major upgrade

Players wanted faster controls. The devs are making inputs more responsive. Martial Arts will be easier to use. Guardian Spirit Skills will have new button options. Elixirs will activate faster. Players will also get more control over customisation in the menu.

Enemy balance, exploration, and level design fixes

Overpowered enemies like Crucible Wasps are being rebalanced, fall damage is being reduced, and foggy or dark areas will now be easier to navigate. Exploration will also be clearer with map indicators and better sound cues for hidden items.

Progression, multiplayer, and performance improvements

Progression is being streamlined with bigger inventories, easier stat boosts, and a cleaner skill tree layout. Multiplayer is getting smoother matchmaking, better tutorials, and options for friend-only lobbies. Visual and audio tweaks will improve lighting, framerate, and sound balancing, while tutorials will no longer interrupt combat flow.

Nioh 3 was announced during the June State of Play. It brings a new Ninja fighting style and reworked level design. These upcoming fixes will make sure the final game feels smoother, faster, and more polished.
