Mundaun, the critically acclaimed folklore-inspired horror indie game from Hidden Fields, a one-man studio founded by Swiss programmer and illustrator Michel Ziegler, and publisher MWM Interactive, is now available worldwide for Nintendo Switch. Featuring lovingly hand-pencilled elements sketched out by Ziegler, the game tells the story of a young man who travels to a dark, secluded valley of the Swiss Alps to uncover the mystery of his grandfather’s death and face off with a malevolent entity that resides there.

Mundaun is the first full-length game from Ziegler and was praised by players and critics alike for its artistry and unnerving approach to horror following its release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles earlier this year.

I am humbled by the incredible response Mundaun has received since we released the game, and I am delighted to finally bring the game to Nintendo Switch. It certainly has been a journey to share Mundaun with players worldwide, and I am grateful to MWM Interactive for their endless support along the way. I can’t wait for players on Nintendo Switch to unravel Mundaun’s dark mysteries and experience the game’s hand-pencilled world firsthand.

In the game, players follow a young man named Curdin to Mundaun, a dark, secluded valley of the Alps, to learn more about the mysterious circumstances behind his grandfather’s death. Along the way, he soon discovers that something old and diabolical is haunting the remaining inhabitants. Throughout Curdin’s quest, players will solve intricate puzzles and learn more about the town’s secrets and the meaning behind these sinister events, while avoiding hostile characters that trigger the game’s fear system, a “cause-and-effect” feature that disorients players when facing dangerous situations.

The game is now available for $19.99 USD / 19.99€ / £17.99 on the Nintendo eShop. To learn more about the game, follow @MundaunGame on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and visit the game’s official website.
