Marvel’s Wolverine may skip State of Play as Insomniac hints at later reveal

If you were hoping to see Marvel’s Wolverine at the next PlayStation State of Play, it may be best to lower expectations. Insomniac Games recently replied to a fan asking about updates. The answer was simple: “Spring 2026.” That alone hints that nothing new is ready right now.

This slow drip of news is not surprising. The game has been quiet for a long time. Apart from that big early leak, the studio has kept things tightly controlled.

The wait may actually help Marvel’s Wolverine

From what I see, Insomniac seems focused on polishing rather than constant marketing. That often leads to stronger reveals later. And with hype already huge, they do not really need frequent trailers.

There is also talk in the industry about a possible late-2026 release, maybe Q3. That is still unofficial. Plans can change, especially with big AAA titles.

For now, I would not expect fresh gameplay or story details at State of Play. Maybe Sony shows older material again, but even that is uncertain.

Either way, interest in Marvel’s Wolverine has not faded. When the next proper reveal lands, it will likely grab attention quickly. Until then, patience is part of the ride.
