Bungie has officially confirmed the release date for Marathon, following a leak that surfaced over the weekend. The studio has now locked in March 5, 2026, as the launch date for its upcoming extraction shooter.

The announcement was shared on social media, alongside full pre-order details. Marathon will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. Players who pre-purchase the game will receive several bonus items, including weapon cosmetics, an emblem, a background, and extra rewards that also carry over into Destiny 2.
At launch, Marathon will be available in three different editions. The Standard Edition includes the base game and access to all gameplay updates released throughout the year. Pre-ordering this version unlocks multiple cosmetic items, such as the ZERO STEP weapon styles, charms, and stickers, along with the APOGEE INTERCEPT emblem and background. It also includes three Exotic rewards for Destiny 2, covering a Ghost, Ship, and Sparrow.
The Deluxe Edition builds on that with a Premium Rewards Pass voucher, 200 SILK tokens, and several MIDNIGHT DECAY weapon and Runner Shell cosmetics. These are purely cosmetic but offer a darker, more aggressive look.
For collectors, the Collector’s Edition includes everything from the other editions, plus physical items. These include a 1/6-scale Thief Runner Shell statue, a WEAVEworm miniature, an embroidered patch, postcards, and extra digital rewards.
With its release date now confirmed, Marathon is officially on the countdown.
