Luna Abyss is finally back in the spotlight, and it now has a clear launch window. After years of quiet, the sci-fi first-person action bullet hell from Kwalee Labs has resurfaced with a new trailer and a 2026 release target for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.
Luna Abyss – The Eye Has Opened trailer
Even early on, Luna Abyss stood out. The visuals were bold and atmospheric, mixing heavy sci-fi energy with brutalist style. Many players compared it to Destiny or Returnal, but those links are only surface-level. This isn’t a constant bullet hell. It’s an action-adventure with sharp bursts of chaos and room to explore.
You play as a prisoner sent into a massive derelict megastructure buried beneath the mimic moon, Luna. Your task is to push deeper, explore the ruins, and recover lost technology. All the while, Aylin, an artificial overseer, watches every move you make.
The world feels haunted by its past. Echoes of Greymont’s fall, strange beliefs, and the Scourge linger in every corridor. The deeper you go, the more the moon’s secrets tighten around you.
Gameplay blends fast movement with tight first-person combat. Sprinting, jumping, and dashing matter as much as your aim. Every weapon has a purpose, designed for specific encounters and chaotic bullet-hell moments.
If you want a taste, a free demo is available on Steam right now. A good chance to see how deep the abyss truly goes.
