The game started back in 2016 as a one-man Unreal Engine 4 project. It was inspired by Final Fantasy XV, and you can still see that influence. Kazer, the main character, looks and fights a lot like Noctis.

Combat is fast. You chain combos, switch weapons mid-fight, and rely on parries and dodges to stay alive. Every weapon has its stats and powers. You can mix them to do more damage.

Arena powers changes the Lost Soul Aside

Arena, a dragon-like creature, fights with you. It boosts attacks, helps you heal, or gives you shields. Build up the Fusion Gauge, and Arena’s claws strike enemies hard. This ability grows stronger as you progress.

You’ll also collect weapon fragments. These change how your gear looks and works. Some make attacks stronger, others boost healing or dodging. You can mix them to build deadly setups.

The game uses Unreal Engine 4. It supports ray tracing for shadows, reflections, and lighting. DLSS 4 is in, but there’s no word on Multi-Frame Gen yet.

Lost Soul Aside releases on 29 August. It’s stylish, fast, and full of action.
