Kingdom Come: Deliverance next-gen update boosts PS5 and Xbox to 60FPS

The next-gen update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now live on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Warhorse Studios announced it during their anniversary stream. It is free for existing owners, which is a welcome move.

This update mainly focuses on performance. Console players can now get up to 60FPS. That alone makes a big difference. The older consoles often struggled, especially in busy towns or rainy weather.

Visual quality also gets a boost. This Kingdom Come Next-Gen update brings ultra-quality PC settings to consoles. Resolution sits at 1440p, then upscales to 4K output. Textures look cleaner. Lighting feels more natural. Overall, the world appears sharper without losing its grounded medieval tone.

There is also cross-generation save transfer. Returning players can jump back into Henry’s journey easily. That is helpful if you want to continue an old playthrough.

This RPG always felt immersive, even with its technical issues. With smoother performance now, it should be easier to enjoy its slow, realistic approach.

Meanwhile, the sequel already fixed many original problems. Still, this update gives the first game a proper second life on modern consoles. If you skipped it before, this may be the right time to try it.
