JBL has introduced its newest portable speaker, the JBL Grip, designed to combine big sound with a compact and stylish build. Shaped like a slim can and built with a handy rope loop on the back, it is made for people who want music on the move.
Despite the small size of the portable speaker, the Grip packs a punch with 16 watts of JBL Pro Sound. It also comes with AI Sound Boost, which gives deeper bass and reduces distortion, even at higher volume. For a bigger sound experience, you can connect two speakers for stereo or link multiple units together using Auracast support.

The Grip is built tough for outdoor adventures, with IP68 protection making it dustproof, waterproof, and even drop-proof. Whether attached to a backpack, bike, or kayak, the upright design and vertical JBL logo give it a bold look. On the back, users will also find ambient lighting, which can be customised through the JBL Portable app to set the mood.
Battery life is another strong point, offering up to 12 hours of playtime, with an extra 2 hours available through Playtime Boost mode. This makes it ideal for long trips without worrying about frequent charging.
Carsten Olesen, President of Consumer Audio at HARMAN, said the new launch continues JBL’s mission to keep innovating in the portable speaker space. Since the release of the JBL Flip in 2012, the company has led the way in combining affordable prices with great sound, and the Grip is set to follow that tradition.
