After a slightly bumpy start, Heart Machine has laid out its plans for Hyper Light Breaker in the game’s first Early Access roadmap. Covering February through April, the roadmap teases a mix of minor tweaks and a major content update in April titled Buried Below.
What’s coming in Hyper Light Breaker’s first updates?
The first monthly update drops on February 18, bringing a new Breaker, new enemies, Holobytes, Affixes, and balance changes to keep the challenge sharp.
Leading the charge is Ravona, a highly anticipated Breaker who was previously codenamed “Crow.” Players have been eager to see Ravona in action since the Gameplay Reveal Trailer, and now she’s finally arriving with fresh SyComs and abilities. Expect new enemies too, including an Elite enemy for those craving an extra challenge.

Also coming in this update are new Holobytes, like Hunter’s Mark, and fresh Affixes to shake up your playthroughs.
Fixes and community feedback
Since Hyper Light Breaker is still in Early Access, Heart Machine is actively listening to community feedback. The roadmap includes expanded control and graphics options, bug fixes, and a rework of the enemy aggro system.
One key fix is the Medkit system rework. Players felt it was too punishing, so now you’ll start each run with a Medkit, making survival a little fairer.
With Buried Below set to drop in April, this is just the beginning for Hyper Light Breaker. If you’re interested, you can jump into Early Access now on PC via Steam.
