Huawei is hitting the market with its innovations

On May 19, Huawei welcomed a new member to its Huawei MateView monitor family during its new product introduction conference. Huawei Mate monitors are made up of two models: the MateView and MateView GT.

The MateView has a wireless main colour display for professionals, while the MateView GT has a curved screen display for passionate gamers and audio-visual entertainment enthusiasts.

Huawei’s Accessories

Huawei Mate phones, tablets, laptops, and displays are all part of the Mate line. With a simple design, a 4K + super big screen with a high-colour quasi-primary colour display, Smart Bar touch interaction, intelligent wireless connection, and more, the MateView display is a professional display device that keeps the company’s full-scene connectivity gene.

Huawei Mate monitor is a relatively new player in the display business. Aside from providing more options for consumers, the Huawei MateView encourages the advancement of the display industry to new heights. The Huawei MateView, in contrast to standard display devices, has an all-in-one design. The machine has a very high degree of integration and a minimalist to lean design approach.

From the front, MateView’s big 3:2 ratio 4K + resolution screen is stunning. The screen is 28.2 inches in size, with a resolution of 38402560 pixels and a sensitive feel. The height is higher than the typical 4K display, which is 38402160 pixels, due to the 3:2 ratio. The display space has also been increased.

Huawei MateView

The MateView has a screen-to-body ratio of 94 per cent. The upper left and right sides are merely 6mm wide, while the bottom frame is 9.3mm wide. The display is encased in an aluminium alloy frame in the shape of a circle. The frame’s surface has been polished to give it a delicate sand appearance.

Unlike the standard snap-on design, the magnetic suction type of MateView magnetic rear case (cover on the back of the display) takes up less space and has a more straightforward construction.

Display and Bracket

Huawei has also eliminated the display chip, resulting in a flat back of the MateView screen. The narrowest area of the screen is 9.3mm thick, and the thickest part is less than 13mm thick. The exposed screws are pretty well integrated. This design resembles a large flat plate mounted on a bracket.

For the connection between the display and the bracket, Huawei developed an independent lifting cable management structure. The connecting part, the rotating axis, is held in place by a device that looks like a universal ball. The display can be tilted with just one finger, thanks to this clever design.

Sliding Rail

In addition, the MateView has a built-in sliding rail above the bracket that allows for lifting. The design difficulties are incredibly great because the Mate View’s display chip and motherboard are housed inside the bracket. A Huawei sharing sensing area is housed in the base, facilitating Huawei mobile phones’ one-touch screen projection operation.

The soundhole for the display is positioned in the lower section of the bracket and is made up of 5920 circular holes arranged in an array. It also functions as an air inlet, lowering body temperature. Two high-power (rated power 5W, maximum power up to 8W) full-range speakers with a 28cc independent, big sound cavity are housed inside the soundhole. According to official data, the weighted loudness of these two speakers is 75dB, and the actual loudness is 78dB.

Audio Effect

The MateView has a beautiful audio effect. With high-pitched, powerful bass and a large sound field, it gives an outstanding hearing experience that is remarkably clear. The commotion appears to be coming from every direction. In the MateView, sound enhancement technology is integrated with twin microphones. The range of pickup is up to 4 metres.
