High on Life 2 is bringing its loud, chaotic humour back next year, and now we know exactly when. Squanch Games used Gamescom 2025 to confirm that the sequel will launch on 13 February 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox. Xbox Game Pass players won’t have to wait either – it’s hitting the service day one.
High on Life 2, 42-minute gameplay
The studio didn’t just drop a date; it dropped a 42-minute gameplay demo. The footage sets the stage five years after the events of the first game. You’re a bounty hunter tasked with taking down a corrupt senator who plans to turn humans into pills and grow his pharma empire.

But the bigger hook? You’re sent after your own sister, pulling you into a conspiracy that could destroy everything you’ve built since the last game.
Movement also looks different this time. The skateboard has replaced traditional traversal and now drives the flow of combat and exploration.
The sequel looks bigger, brasher, and far more ambitious. Whether it can deliver a sharper mix of gameplay and humour is the real question, but the ride officially begins next February.
