Supergiant Games has officially confirmed that Hades II will be making its way to the Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 once it leaves Early Access. The game first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 6, 2024, and while a full 1.0 release date remains unannounced, there’s still at least one major update planned before that happens.
For those unfamiliar, Hades II is Supergiant’s first-ever sequel, building on the original’s incredible mix of fast-paced combat, rich storytelling, and ever-changing dungeon crawling. This time around, players take control of the Princess of the Underworld, battling through a mythological world that’s even bigger and deeper than before.

- A new protagonist – You play as Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, on a mission to take down the Titan of Time.
- More gods, ghosts, and monsters – Expect a cast of new characters alongside familiar faces, all fully voiced and woven into the game’s unfolding story.

- A world that evolves with every run – With new locations, upgrade systems, and challenges, every attempt brings something fresh to the table.
- Classic Supergiant polish – From gorgeous hand-painted environments to an electrifying original score, Hades II brings the same attention to detail that made the first game a masterpiece.
There’s still some waiting to do before the full release, but with the game already in Early Access and another major update on the way, there’s plenty to look forward to.
