Gungrave GORE Blood Heat remake revealed with new engine and trailer

Gungrave is back, again. In 2022, Prime Matter pushed out Gungrave G.O.R.E., a flashy shooter that sadly missed the mark for most fans. Now, it’s getting a second shot with a full remake called Gungrave GORE Blood Heat.

Gungrave GORE Blood Heat announce trailer

Microsoft just dropped the reveal trailer, confirming this isn’t a simple update. The game is running on a brand-new engine, with fresh systems, sharper backgrounds, and refined character work. Heritage features are back, plus some exclusive new characters are joining the action.

Gungrave GORE Blood Heat - gameplay shot

The original G.O.R.E. used Unreal Engine 4 and suffered from stuttering issues, so there’s good reason to believe Blood Heat is shifting to Unreal Engine 5. If true, it should pack more power, but fans will be hoping it avoids the same shader compilation problems that plagued the last release.

From the trailer alone, Blood Heat looks impressive. Smoother visuals, more polish, and a clear promise to fix what went wrong in 2022.

There’s no release window yet, but it’s clear this is a proper rebuild, not a patch job. Gungrave is getting another chance, let’s see if this time it can finally deliver.
