Grand Theft Auto IV just got a major upgrade. Thanks to iCEnhancer 4.0, the game now looks like a proper remaster. And no, it’s not from Rockstar. It’s from the fans.
The latest version of this long-running mod is out now. It brings major visual changes to GTA IV. We’re talking new lighting, improved fog, better water, and more detailed shaders. Liberty City feels fresh again.
iCEnhancer 4.0 makes GTA IV feel new
You’ll need version 1.0.3.0 or 1.0.4.0 of the game to use it. These versions work best with ENB, the tool behind the mod’s visual effects. If you’ve got the wrong version, you might need to downgrade first. The mod is available on its official site.
GTA IV came out in 2008. It’s the only 3D game in the series not fully playable on new systems. Xbox users can still play the old Xbox 360 version, but that’s it. Fans have been waiting for a remaster for years.

Rumours say an official port could arrive before the end of 2025. That would help bridge the gap before GTA VI, which is now coming in May 2026.
Until then, this mod is the best way to enjoy GTA IV in 2025. It’s free, fan-made, and it looks incredible.
