Forza Horizon 6 is finally locked in, with Xbox using its latest Developer Direct to share a release date, new gameplay, and full edition pricing. While the game looks strong, the early access setup has not gone down well with everyone.
Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will get Forza Horizon 6 on day one. However, that only applies to the Standard Edition. Anyone wanting to play four days early will need the Premium Edition.
That is where things get expensive.

Forza Horizon 6 early access upgrade nearly matches full game price
The full Premium Edition costs $119.99 / £109.99 / €119.99. Game Pass players can buy a Premium upgrade instead, but that upgrade is priced at $59.99. In the UK, it costs £59.99.
That price is hard to ignore. £59.99 is the same cost as buying the Standard Edition outright. In the US, it is only $10 cheaper than the full game. Many players feel they are paying nearly full price just for early access.
The increase is even more noticeable when compared to Forza Horizon 5. That game’s Premium upgrade for Game Pass players costs $50. This time, it is $60.
There is also a Deluxe Edition available, priced at $99.99 / £89.99 / €99.99.
Forza Horizon 6, developed by Playground Games under Xbox Game Studios, still looks set to be a big release. But for Game Pass players, early access now comes at a steep cost.
