FINAL FURY, the VR fighting game that wears its love for classic arcade beat-’em-ups proudly on its gloves, has just dropped its biggest update yet. Tides of Vygor is out now across Meta Quest and Steam VR, packing in new moves, new systems, and a brand-new competitive structure designed to keep players swinging well into 2026.

More moves, more depth, more chaos
Since launching into Early Access earlier this year, FINAL FURY has been shaped closely by community feedback. Tides of Vygor is the biggest sign yet that Kluge Interactive is leaning fully into the fight.
The update introduces three major new combat options:
- Dive Kicks – Airborne aggression for closing distance fast
- Uppercuts – Huge, satisfying pop-ups for combo starters
- Vygor Specials – Energy-charged techniques that open the door to more expressive playstyles
Combat flow has been refined across the board, giving fights a slicker, more responsive feel. The result is a game that still channels the spirit of old-school fighting games, but with the full-body physicality only VR can deliver.
Lead developer David Montesdeoca says the goal was simple: make every fight feel better.
“Tides of Vygor makes FINAL FURY feel faster, flashier, and it sets the stage for even more competition to come.”
Ranked Events start this month
Competitive players now have a new weekend ritual: Ranked Events, a rotating series of short-run tournaments with exclusive cosmetics and avatar rewards on the line. December is kicking off with:
- Tides of Vygor – Themed around the new update
- Festive Fury – A year-end showdown full of seasonal rewards

Cross-platform VR fighting with a classic heart
FINAL FURY already supports cross-platform multiplayer via Meta Quest and Steam VR, complete with rollback netcode to keep fights feeling sharp and stable. The Tides of Vygor update arrives as part of the studio’s continued push to evolve the game with new modes, seasonal content, and community-driven tweaks.
