Elden Ring: Nightreign patch 1.02 adds Duos mode and major fixes after short delay

Elden Ring Nightreign’s first major update is here, and it’s a big one. Patch 1.02 introduces official Duos mode, letting players team up in two-player expeditions for the first time.

The feature was highly requested by players since launch, with the PC community already using mods to force it in. Now, it’s officially supported by FromSoftware.

The standout addition is, of course, the Duos mode. The old “Expedition Type” setting has been replaced with “Number of Players,” and the game now adjusts difficulty based on the player count. It’s a long-awaited feature that makes smaller co-op sessions much smoother.

The update was delayed by 24 hours due to tsunami warnings in Japan following a powerful earthquake near Russia. It finally went live just a few hours ago.
