Let’s get this out of the way early: I’ve used a lot of third-party controllers. Some are plasticky messes that feel like they’ll snap under the weight of a sneeze. Others try to reinvent the wheel and end up square. But then, every so often, one turns up that makes you do a double-take. The EasySMX S10 is exactly that.
At a glance, it’s got all the bells and whistles you’d expect in 2025 for a “Pro” controller. HD Rumble? Check. Back paddles? Yep. Amiibo support, mechanical buttons, RGB lighting, and a one-tap wake-up for the Switch 2? That’s a full house.
But what really caught me off guard was just how well it all comes together, especially for the price. Before we get into it, check out our short video below to get a glimpse of what comes in the box.
Design – Clean curves and magnetic charm
The EasySMX S10 doesn’t scream “budget”. In fact, with its translucent shell, subtle RGB ring glow, and swappable faceplates, it leans more towards boutique than bargain bin. However, it’s on the lighter side, which I initially worried might make it feel hollow or cheap. But nope, it’s surprisingly solid. Even the reverse side, which is probably the least visually appealing part of the controller.
The magnetic faceplate? Stays put. Detachable D-pad? Firm and snug, even with heavy button mashing. Someone really thought through the engineering here.
It also features a satisfying soft-touch texture that’s ideal for long sessions. Even after a sweaty two-hour Mario Kart marathon, no hand cramps. Just victory.

Performance – Feels right in the hands
Connectivity is quick and painless. Switch 2, PC, Android, iOS; all detected it instantly (aside from one emulator hiccup on mobile, which, let’s face it, is more on the app than the controller). The layout is familiar and natural, with well-spaced back buttons that don’t feel like an afterthought.
The real surprise? Those mechanical action buttons. Clicky, responsive, and dampened just enough to avoid feeling harsh. The same goes for the triggers, some of the nicest we’ve tested outside of the big names.
The EasySMX S10’s TMR sticks feel smooth and precise, although one comment from a second tester (cheers, soon-to-be brother-in-law) noted he wouldn’t mind a touch more resistance in them. Still, he was raving by the end, claiming it might be one of his favourite controllers ever. He came 9th in Fortnite with it, so take that as you will. Maybe a bit more RGB would’ve pushed him into the top 5.
Customisation – Magnetic and RGB, no tools required
You want custom faceplates? The S10 delivers. They’re magnetic, easy to swap, and they don’t fall off. That’s a miracle in itself.
Need more flair? The RGB lighting is there too. It’s subtle, not disco-ball obnoxious, and can be tweaked without needing a software suite or companion app. And yes, it works across platforms—because why should only Switch users get to glow?
Room for improvement? Sure, but not much
Is the EasySMX S10 perfect? No. HD rumble is solid but won’t shake your hands off. And yes, maybe there’s a tiny bit of latency in certain FPS titles over Bluetooth, depending on the game. But with a wired option and 1000Hz polling rate, that’s easily sorted for serious play.
Overall thoughts on the EasySMX S10
The EasySMX S10 surprised me. It’s more than just another third-party pad. It’s a genuinely impressive, feature-packed controller that punches above its price point. Switch 2 owners, especially, are getting a lot here; wake-up support, NFC, motion, and tight controls wrapped in a customisable package. Add in compatibility with PC and mobile, and you’re golden.
Even better? FULLSYNC readers who buy the EasySMX S10 from the official website get an exclusive 15% off with the code FULLSYNC S10, bringing the price down from £46.00 to just £39.10. Not bad for a controller that ticks nearly every box.
If you’re after a versatile controller that looks slick, plays smoothly, and doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, this might just be your next best purchase.
