Dread Meridian drags VR players into a frozen nightmare

Level Infinite and KUKRGAME have revealed Dread Meridian, a new survival horror built entirely for virtual reality. It’s coming to SteamVR, Quest 2, and Quest 3, though no release date is set yet.

Dread Meridian reveal trailer

The game drops you into Oglanbyen, a frozen wasteland crawling with nightmares. You play as Daniella, a researcher searching for her missing twin sister. The island itself is spiralling into madness, and every step feels like it could be your last.

Dread Meridian - a brief case

You should expect to face terrifying creatures, solve cryptic puzzles, and fight for survival with scarce resources. VR combat takes centre stage here, guns feel powerful but limited, so you’ll need to scavenge ammo and craft attachments to stay alive.

Community testing is set for later in 2025, giving players an early chance to brave the cold. The developers are also planning future updates, including a co-op mode where you won’t have to face the wasteland alone.

This one looks like VR horror with real bite.
