G’day, gamers! This summer, Sandbox fans can fulfil that dream of living Down Under from the comfort of their own home, with the arrival of new Aussie-inspired simulation title Dinkum

The new-to-market farming game lets players live out island life – themed around the whopping Australian outback – building houses, growing their customised communities, and navigating the colourful country landscapes.

Explorers will feel right at home, uncovering gems hidden in tropical eucalyptus forests, chilling in cool billabongs, and getting up close and personal with Australia’s loveable bush wildlife. Plus with awesome co-op credentials, you can collaborate with your neighbours on anything from construction projects to emu riding!

But it’s not all breezy living. Scorching deserts must be endured and you’ll need to hunt your food, avoiding the hungry jaws of killer predators, to survive and thrive in your wild new world.

The more you fish, forage, mine and manufacture, the quicker you’ll attract new townsfolk and business, transforming your swag under the stars to a sprawling destination that others want to make their home too.

James Bendon, solo developer of Dinkum had the following to say:

I’ve been playing around with the basic idea of Dinkum for a couple of years. I’m a big fan of cosy life-sim games and I’ve always wanted a game where you can live in a town that you’ve built from the ground up.

I had the rare opportunity to follow my dream – to create and release my own video game. Not far into development, I decided to base the game’s setting on the Australian landscape. As a local, I took a road trip across Australia and was inspired by the vast red deserts and native bushlands. Now, after nearly 2 years of full-time development, I’m very excited to be working with The Irregular Corporation to officially announce Dinkum!

So put on those thongs and sunnies and add Dinkum to your wishlist now

Launching first on PC in Q2 2020, Dinkum is being published by The Irregular Corporation.
