DayZ becomes one of the Most Played games on Xbox

DayZ reports hundreds of thousands of new players, after becoming available on the Xbox Game Pass on the 7th day of May. The hardcore survival game is flourishing now more than ever and has become one of the Most Played games on Xbox. Game Pass users can access the game for free and they can also purchase the base game and its DLC (Livonia) for a discounted price.

Xbox Game Pass is a great opportunity for us to open the game to a different audience, and to let a massive number of new players experience DayZ in all its crude harshness and beauty, together with the veterans. Over the years, DayZ has gone through a difficult development, but at Bohemia Interactive, we never lost faith in the game – so seeing its record player numbers across all platforms is a very rewarding moment for the whole team. For us, it also confirms that DayZ still remains an unmatched and unforgettable survival experience.

If you have yet to play DayZ, then the Game Pass is the perfect opportunity to try your hand at surviving this harsh post-apocalyptic wasteland. DayZ is an unforgiving, authentic, open-world sandbox online game where each one of 60 players on a server follows a single goal – to survive as long as they can, by all means necessary. Every decision matters – with no save games, and no extra lives, every mistake can be lethal. When you die, you lose everything and start over.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to see how you’d fare amid a fallen society, there’s never been a better time to delve into the thoroughly absorbing world of DayZ – alone, with your friends, or as part of one of the many community groups.
