Crimson Desert sales hit 4 Million as Pearl Abyss celebrates latest milestone

Pearl Abyss‘s action RPG Crimson Desert is showing no signs of slowing down. The Korean developer has confirmed the game has now crossed 4 million copies sold since its launch on 19th March.

To put that in context, Crimson Desert shifted 2 million units within its first 24 hours and hit 3 million in under a week. Reaching 4 million shortly after is a strong sign that word of mouth is doing its job.

Pearl Abyss is grateful for the support

Pearl Abyss thanked their community alongside the announcement, expressing gratitude to “all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey.”

The studio has been active post-launch, rolling out updates to tackle player feedback. One notable patch removed AI-generated artwork that fans had flagged, a move broadly welcomed by the community. Inventory management, however, remains a sore point for players.

A community finding its feet

On the brighter side, players have been uncovering the best cosmetic drip and discovering how to put NPCs to work for them, the kind of organic fun that keeps momentum alive well past launch.

With 4 million sales already in the bag, Crimson Desert looks set to be one of 2025’s biggest RPG success stories.
