A new mod for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available on Nexus Mods, bringing improved lighting and reflections to the stylish RPG – with only a small hit to performance.
The mod, named “Enhanced Lumen,” tweaks the game’s engine settings to enable a feature called r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs. It’s a bit of a technical switch, but the end result is simple – better lighting accuracy and more realistic reflections. According to modders, players can expect a performance drop of just 2–4 FPS, but the visual difference is especially noticeable in specific lighting scenarios.
If you’re already drawn to the game’s art style, this mod pushes it further, adding a touch of realism to its already painterly presentation.
