Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity is announcing the ‘STAY:UP and Jam’ game jam, kicking off alongside the STAY:UP fundraising event on 8th October and hosted by Elle Osili-Wood (BBC, BAFTA)! The two-hour opener will be live-streamed over at Centrepoint’s Twitch channel, which you can find right here.

The online-only kick-off event starts at 6pm BST on 8th October. Over two hours, the event will feature exciting talks from key games industry professionals such as Federico Fasce (Goldsmiths University programme director) and more to be announced, and a special panel on game design hosted by Elle Osili-Wood. With Elle hosting, and the special guests flowing, it’s set to be a corker of a show, and all in aid of Centrepoint’s primary mission to support the UK’s many homeless young people.

Following the packed opener, the game jam will kick off at 8pm BST. The jam will run until 8pm on 11th October, when projects will be submitted and judged for selection. Selected games will be up for unmissable prizes courtesy of Numskull Games, The Irregular Corporation, and many more to be announced. The resulting games will be included in the STAY:UP and Jam Bundle, which will be available for consumers to purchase through itch.io after the event to raise funds. Be sure to sign up to participate here.

The event isn’t just for those of you who love making games, however. They would love to see content creators and streamers team up with each other, and their wonderful communities, and STAY:UP from 8pm on October 8th to 8am on October 9th to support fundraising efforts. You can sign up to STAY:UP as a team or individually here.
