Borderlands 4 pre-orders begin with exciting new Vault Hunters and packed deluxe editions

Borderlands 4 is officially available to pre-order. 2K and Gearbox Software have confirmed the looter-shooter will launch on 12 September 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A Switch 2 version is also planned for later in 2025.

Three versions of the game are now up for pre-order:

All editions are available for pre-order and will release worldwide on September 12, 2025. Players who pre-order one of these editions will receive the Gilded Glory Pack*, which includes one Vault Hunter Skin, one Weapon Skin, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin.

Post-launch roadmap confirmed

Gearbox Software will support Borderlands 4 with a mix of free and paid post-launch content. Much of this will be part of the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions. Details will be revealed closer to the release date.

2K president David Ismailer said the game “evolves the series’ gameplay and storytelling in new ways.” At the same time, Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford called it “the best entry point for new players” and “a love letter to long-time fans.”

Borderlands 4 looks set to deliver a full-featured return to the universe, with new Vault Hunters, a stacked roadmap, and editions designed for all kinds of players.
