Borderlands 4 is done. Gearbox and 2K have confirmed it’s gone gold, locking in the 12 September release for PC, PS5, and Xbox.
Going gold means the game is final and ready to ship. It’s being sent off for disc printing and digital release. While rare delays can still happen, like with Cyberpunk 2077, that’s not likely here. This date looks set in stone.
We are GOLD, baby!!! 🔥📀🔥

Borderlands 4 will hit Switch 2 in October
Switch 2 owners will need to wait a bit longer. The game hits Nintendo’s new console on 3 October. That gap is small, but it raises a few questions. Can the Switch 2 version keep up? Will it use features like DLSS or mouse controls? We’ll find out soon.
For now, the wait is nearly over. Borderlands 4 launches on 12 September for PC and current-gen consoles. Switch 2 joins the action on 3 October.
