Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is gearing up for a big reveal, and Activision has dropped another cryptic clue. This time, it’s an in-universe teaser for The Guild, a so-called “global protection” company promising “tech we can trust.” The tone says otherwise, as shown in the trailer below.
Black Ops 7 The Guild teaser
The video plays out like a warning. Fake headlines flashing across the screen showing AI spiralling out of control, militaries stockpiling power, and supply chains collapsing. It feels like the world’s on the brink. Then, after the blackout, the music shifts. The Guild steps in, claiming it has the answers to save civilisation. If Black Ops history is anything to go by, they’re probably the problem, not the solution.

The first trailer was shown back in June, where Adam Mason explores the offices of a mysterious tech giant. Now, Activision has gone further with a full website dedicated to The Guild.
The next reveal lands August 19 at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Black Ops 7 is rumoured for a November launch on console and PC, hitting Xbox Game Pass at release.
Activision is releasing Black Ops games in back-to-back years for the first time in the series. However, will it perform well in sales as a competitor to Battlefield 6?
