A recent report by consumer group Which? revealed that 95% of Black Friday deals aren’t actually as good as they appear. Quite often, the items have been even cheaper than these ‘fantastic’ deals claim to be within the six months running up to and following the event. Still, there are some good offers and deals out there on gaming and tech so we thought we’d share a few that we found.
Black Friday games deals
One of the better Black Friday deals we found in terms of gaming, comes courtesy of Man of Medan. And that’s because you can get access to a free friend’s pass to play the game with a friend. Best of all it’s available to all people who have already purchased the game, as well as for new gamers who purchase the Bandai Namco title before January 6th.
Another title that is seeing massive discounts is Destiny 2 (check out our Shadowkeep review HERE). However, sale dates vary from platform to platform, so check out the dates below. The discounts include 25% off the Digital Deluxe version of Shadowkeep and 40% off Destiny 2: Forsaken, which is the only expansion not included with Shadowkeep and is definitely worthwhile playing.
- November 22 – December 3: PlayStation
- November 24 – December 2: Xbox*
- November 26 – December 3: Steam
- November 28 – December 9: Bungie Store
Bungie and Bandai Namco aren’t the only people offering up discounts though, as 2K Games are also offering up some big discounts too. You can find discounts of up to 75% off some titles, including money off some of their latest titles at GAME which we’ve listed below. Other retailers will likely have similar offers on too as retailers look to battle it out for the shoppers.
Black Friday tech deals
It is mainly concerning tech where deals aren’t always as good as it seems. But one area that deals are proving to be well-priced is for own branded products. For example, Amazon has some cracking deals on gadgets including the Echo Dot from £22.00, their 4K Fire Stick for £29.99 (previous-gen model available for £19.99) and the all-new Fire 7 Tablet for £29.99 as well.
Another great value deal we’ve found is for the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 which is exclusively available at Gearbest. The world’s first 108MP Penta-cam smartphone had an exclusive launch price of £387.23 ($499.99) and has seen a maximum discount so far to $479.99 using coupons. However, for Black Friday using the code GBXMNT10BF you can get the Mi Note 10 for just £355.74 ($439.99) which is a discount of £125.60 from the full price.
For those on the hunt for gaming peripherals, Sades aren’t exactly smashing prices, but they are offering 25% off gaming peripherals. Peripherals available for the discount are listed below, but you will have to head to their UK Facebook Page and DM them to get the code.

For the mobile gamers who saw our recent review of the GameSir G6s and thought “I needs me one of those”, you will be happy. That’s because GameSir has announced some discounts too. The G6s, F4 and VX will all be 10% off on the official GameSir website, whilst their Amazon stores will have up to 20% off many products.
