Bendy and the Ink Machine creeps onto consoles in late Q2 2025

Bendy and the Ink Machine, the eerie, cartoon-flavoured horror experience from Joey Drew Studios, is heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles at the tail end of Q2 2025. The announcement came from publisher Silver Lining Interactive, confirming both digital and physical versions, though only PS5 players will get the boxed copy. Sorry, Xbox folks.

For those keeping count, Bendy and the Ink Machine first splashed onto the scene back in 2017 on PC, and by the end of 2018, it had made its way to consoles and mobile. Since then, it’s earned itself a bit of a cult following, thanks to its unique blend of vintage animation vibes and creeping dread.

Now, Bendy and the Ink Machine is getting a fresh coat of ink for current-gen consoles. That means faster load times, smoother animations, and (hopefully) even more horrifying inky encounters.

Game bio

You play as Henry, a former lead animator at Joey Drew Studios who’s been away from the sketchpad for a while. But when an odd letter calls him back, he returns to find the place a decaying shadow of its former self. Think flickering lights, groaning pipes, and walls that shouldn’t be breathing. It’s not just an abandoned animation studio—it’s a full-on nightmare where ink has a life of its own.

The game mixes exploration and puzzle-solving with bursts of terrifying action. You’ll run, hide, and occasionally fight your way through a studio that’s alive in all the wrong ways. Every corridor feels like a trap, every smile hides something darker, and Bendy himself? He’s not here for a chat.

A few things to keep in mind

If you’ve never stepped into Joey Drew Studios, this is a great chance to experience Bendy and the Ink Machine in its best form. And if you’ve already been down those inky halls? Maybe it’s time to revisit them in 4K, where every shadow seems a bit darker…
