Battlefield 6 breaks records with over 7 million copies sold in just 3 days

Battlefield 6 is officially a monster hit. Electronic Arts has confirmed that the game has sold more than seven million copies in its first three days, making it the biggest launch in Battlefield history. That’s right, the series has never seen numbers like this before.

Over the opening weekend, players jumped straight into the chaos, clocking in over 172 million matches and a staggering 15 million hours of streaming. The appetite for large-scale destruction and all-out warfare hasn’t gone anywhere.

Battlefield 6 is built for the fans

Byron Beede, General Manager of Battlefield, said the team built Battlefield 6 “with our fans,” crediting community feedback for shaping the final game. He added that Season 1 is just around the corner, launching in less than two weeks.

Vince Zampella, Executive Vice President at EA, also thanked both the global studios and players for helping make this record-breaking debut possible, hinting that there’s “so much more to come.”

Despite some criticism aimed at its single-player campaign, the game’s multiplayer is being praised for its tight design and performance, a huge step up from Battlefield V and 2042.

And with rumours of naval warfare already in development, Battlefield 6 might only be getting started.
