Battlefield 6 is set to launch worldwide on October 10, and analysts are already predicting huge sales. After years of waiting, fans (me too) are ready to dive back into EA’s flagship shooter.
The hype has been building for months. Trailers, beta tests, and Battlefield Labs sessions have painted the picture of a major comeback for the franchise. Now, analysts believe that Battlefield 6 could smash through five million units sold in its opening week.

Battlefield 6 pre-orders and beta player count point to record-breaking launch
That figure comes from industry giants like Newzoo and Ampere Analytics, reported in The Game Business. On Steam alone, the game has already secured more than 1.7 million pre-orders. The beta peaked at 10.4 million players, far higher than the numbers Battlefield 2042 pulled back in 2021.
Ampere’s data also suggests Battlefield is pulling players away from Call of Duty. Almost half of COD players on Steam didn’t return to the series after trying the Battlefield 6 beta. On PlayStation, that figure stood at 24%.
Five million sales in a week would already mark a massive win for EA, but some believe the real number could be far higher. With hype levels through the roof, Battlefield 6 could be the series’ return to glory.
