Battlefield 6 Season 2 release date, leaks, and what content could arrive next

Battlefield 6 Season 2 is getting closer, and there is finally some clarity on when the next wave of content will arrive. After a strong first season, expectations are high, and DICE knows it.

Season 2 was originally planned to arrive earlier, but it has now been officially delayed. DICE confirmed that the new season will launch on February 17, extending Season 1 to give the team more time to polish what’s coming next. The update was shared via the Battlefield subreddit, with developers stressing quality over rushing content out.

If Season 2 follows the same structure as Season 1, players can expect staggered updates rather than everything dropping at once. Season 1 delivered content roughly every three weeks, so Season 2 could follow a similar rhythm. That points to potential drops around February 17, March 10, and March 31.

As for what’s actually included, DICE is keeping things quiet for now. A very short teaser trailer shows a soldier in a gas mask moving through toxic smoke, but it offers no real gameplay hints. More details are expected to be revealed sometime in February.

Leaks may give us a small clue, though. According to well-known dataminer Temporyal, unused files suggest new weapons and vehicles are planned. The MG5 and the AH-6 Little Bird helicopter are both rumoured to appear during Season 2, though nothing is locked in yet.

For now, it’s a waiting game.
