EA says Battlefield 6 isn’t just a game, it’s the future of the whole series

Following the failure of Battlefield 2042, EA is changing its approach. CEO Andrew Wilson says Battlefield 6 is not just a product, it’s a long-term platform.

Wilson said during the company’s latest earnings call;

“We’ve been investing more behind this Battlefield than any Battlefield product before it, this isn’t just a product. We’re building out Battlefield as a platform.”

He added that four studios, DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect, have spent the last four years working on the game. These teams now operate together under the Battlefield Studios label.
